Six Six One Transition

All the testers instantly took to the burly downhill style of the TYansition. With thick moulded neoprene on the back and stitched microfibre suede palms, it certainly looked the part for a winter's ride. With that windproof back and large nose wipe, it ticks a lot of cold weather boxes, and it was never chilly even when used at freezing point temperatures. On the bike there was a slightly cumbersome feel thanks to the inflexible fingers — those rubber armour sections halfway up the finger were right where your digits want to flex, meaning you had to work to bend them. A simple Velcro tab and neoprene cuff secure them and keep the draught out, while the slightly longer cut reaches that little bit further __ up your sleeve. By the end of the test the Six Six One logo .

on the back was starting to come off, but apart from that, • « the Transition is well-built and durable.
