Numbers (1 or 2) Record the connecting rod I.D. code number (1 or 2) on the connecting or measure the I.D. with the bearing cap installed rods are the without bearing inserts.

CONNECTING ROD I.D. CODE

Letters (A or 8) on the crank weight are the codes for the crankpin O.D.s from left to right.

If you are replacing the crankshaft, record the corresponding r.rankpin O.D. code number (A or B).

If you are reusing the crankshaft, measure the crankpin O.D. with a micrometer.

Cross-reference the crankpin and rod codes to determine the replacement bearing color.
