Thunder Rally

Britain's armed forces in Afghanistan are to be honoured at Chepstow Racecourse in south-east Wales on Armed Forces Day with a live link-up to Camp Bastion.

The Thunder Rally'at the racecourse on the last weekend in June will coincide with the arrival of 10,000 parcels for troops serving in Afghanistan, paid for by money raised when 15,000 bikers drove through Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire in April, and there will be a series of tribute bands, headlined by Just Supposing (Status Quo) and Matt Shaw (Meatloaf), a large shopping area, asatellite link to Camp Bastion, a mini-moto circuit, food outlets and bars, and a campsite.

Lincolnshire Bike Show

On June 26th, the Lincolnshire Bike Show is being held at The Sir William Robertson High School on the Main Road in Welbourn in Lines (LN5 oPA). Tickets are £1, and there is a big ride-out planned to celebrate the life of Rod Gibson, Dr Rod, which will be finishing at the event.

War & Peace Show

A unique collection of military motorcycles, mostly built duringthe Second World War, will be on display at the War and Peace Show at The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent, in July.
